The John Crerar Library, a specialized science and mathematics library, founded in the 1890s by the will of John Crerar was located in Chicago's loop at 86 E. Randolph. It re-located to the Illinois Institute of Technology's State Street campus in 1962 in a building erected to house the Crerar and IIT's Kemper Library. The libraries maintained separate collections.
