Biography
James Clinton Peebles, born in Scotland in 1880, was a professor of mechanical engineering at Armour Institute of Technology. Peebles graduated with a B.S. in electrical engineering from Armour Institute in 1904. In 1908, Peebles received his E.E. degree and became a professor of mechanical engineering at Armour. He was the faculty advisor of the publication ARMOUR ENGINEER.

Description of the Collection
Collection appears to be the papers of W. J. Parduhn, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds. Files contain work orders, memos and correspondence, financial schedules, and miscellaneous other materials related to renovations and maintenance of campus buildings. Both old (previously existing) and new (primarily Alumni Memorial Hall, Perlstein Hall, Wishnick Hall) buildings are included. Drawings of the project work are sometimes included.
