Description of the Collection The collection consists of booklets created as promotional and fund raising materials for distribution to businesses and entrepreneurs soliciting funds for the development of the new campus buildings and academic programs of Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Beginning with a formal "program and plan" drawn up by the school's Board of Trustees, the booklets includes campus master plans, building designs, and projected costs which are revised in response to the United States' entry...

Audio-visual tape recordings of Nov. 20, 1996 Illinois Institute of Technology Board of Trustees reception in Crown Hall at which the $120 million dollar Galvin-Pritzker pledge was announced.

Materials related to the IIT Challenge Campaign. Includes promotional brochures, publicity, progress reports, etc. Folder 1 is restricted and contains a Progress Report for the week ending Nov. 14, 1997. Folder 2 contains printed materials.

Description of the Collection Six oversize posters (24"x36" and 26"x36") mounted on foam core promoting the IIT Challenge Campaign. Three posters feature head shots of faculty and students: one reading "Brain Gain" shows eight individuals (including Leon Lederman, Sanjida Chowdhury, and Matt Marcus), one shows student Sanjida Chowdhury, one shows student Matt Marcus. Description of the Collection Copies of document entitled "Partnership in the Future: the Refounding of IIT to serve an Evolving Society." The document served as the basis of IIT's $100 million development program and was crafted in response to the COMFIIT [Commission on the Future of IIT] report. Also present are carbon copies of a cover letter by IIT President Thomas L. Martin, Jr., dated either October 28, 1977 or November 1, 1977, which was sent with the report to various important donors/supporters of IIT, asking...
