Man on a Bench collection, 1984
Materials related to the sculpture Man on a Bench by George Segal, commissioned by Illinois Institute of Technology as part of the Mies van der Rohe Centennial celebration in 1986. Most of the materials in the collection are secondary materials or copies of primary documents found in other collections.
Mies Centennial records, 1969-1986
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was Director of the Department of Architecture at Armour Institute of Technology and Illinois Institute of Technology, 1938 - 1958. A series of events was hosted at IIT during the centennial year 1986 which marked the 100th anniversary of his birth. These Mies van der Rohe Centennial records represent materials created as part of the campus celebration events.

Administrative file on traveling exhibit (poster panels), Mies van der Rohe: Architect as Educator, developed by Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago) in connection with the events hosted to mark the the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Exhibit traveled internationally, ca. 1986 - 1992. A book (exhibit catalogue) of the same title is available, but not included in this collection.
