Biographical description from Jeffrey Thomas Fine Art checklist for exhibition at Hauser & Wirth Institute: - Mary took additional lithography classes and heard Moholy-Nagy lecture at Mills College. - Henry was gripped by Bauhaus' formal ideas and Moholy-Nagy's fascination with pure expressiveness through line and color. - "He talked about art that wasn't what you saw, but what you believed. It was like a whole new world had opened up for me."
