Content description from Suzanne Rahn's inventory of the archive: Early Career (before the Institute of Design): Photos of her first public mosaic, at the old Governor's house in Monterey, CA. Sponsored by the WPA Undated sketch of an old California building. Booklet describing a 1939 WPA stained glass project for what is now Historic Hoover School, which MH worked on with three other artists. Includes a letter from one of these, Norval Gill, who became a lifelong friend. Photo of lithograph, "Design on a Hill" (1940) from a course on lithography by Ray Bertrand sponsored by the WPA.
