Biographical / Historical

Per Takeuchi, as told to Catherine Bruck of the IIT Archives: "Willisch was interior designer for George Keck's houses, and taught at ID and was a big supporter of Testa and his work. As a young designer in Vienna, she was involved in the Wiener Werkstaette, or Vienna Workshops, before emigrating to Chicago. She later established her own practice in Chicago where her work was known for the furniture designed by her and the clean, uncluttered space." See also: Oversize Portfolio Materials
