Biographical Note

Magda Heuermann was a 90-year old Chicago artist in 1949 when she donated to Illinois Tech her collection of ca. 80 miniature paintings. The collection includes ca. 50 miniatures painted by her, the balance being paintings by other artists which she had collected. The minitarues were exhibited at Illinois Institute of Technology from April 28-May 13, 1950.
