Biographical / Historical
Maynard "Pete" Venema, a 1932 graduate of Armour Institute of Technology, served as acting president of IIT 1973 - 1974. He was chairman of Universal Oil Products 1961 - 1975 and arranged for the donation of the UOP lab facility in Crystal Lake, IL to IIT.
