Biographical Note
Sohair (Elbaz) Wastawy took a one-year leave of absence as Dean of Libraries from Illinois Institute of Technology beginning ca. June 2004 to serve as the first chief librarian of the new Alexandria Library in Egypt. In June 2005, she resigned her position at IIT to remain at the Alexandria Library. Christopher Stewart served as Acting Dean of Libraries from June 2004 - ca. Jan. 2006.
