Li, given on September 30, 2009: "Membrance Technology for a Thirsty Century--from an Industrial Perspective of Energy, Sustainability and Globalization." 2) 2010: DVD lecture by Susan Solomon on October 13, 2010: "A Tale for our Times: Something for Everyone about Climate Change and the Reasons for Climate Gridlock." 3) 2011: lecture by Dr. Alice P. Gast on September 7, 2011: "International Education Today." Also includes separate DVD for Dinner Reception that followed in the MTCC the same evening. 4) 2012: lecture by Dr. Subra Suresh given on September 18, 2012 on"Challenges and Opportunities for Global Science."

Biographical Note

Dr. Darsh T. Wasan recieved a BA from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 1960 and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Universtiy of California at Berkeley in 1965. His professional career has been entirely at Illinois Institute of Technology, where he as served as Chairman of the Chemical Engineering Department, Dean of Engineering, Vice President for Research and Technology, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice President of International Affairs. The Darsh T Wasan Lecture Series was established in 2008 to honor his extrodiary contributions to IIT by bringing internationally know leaders to speak on new topics in global issues.
