Mies in America was one of two coordinating international exhibits, with an associated catalogue of the same title, curated by Mies protege and Illinois Institute of Technology alumna Phyllis Lambert. The Chicago venue for the exhibit was the Museum of Contemporary Art where IIT co-hosted an event honoring Lambert.
