Biographical Note

Robert Bonthron (BS-ME, 1944) was a member of the first freshman class to enter Illinois Institute of Technology in 1940. Except for 2 1/2 years in the Navy, he was at IIT until he retired in 1991, serving part of that time in the 1970s as Dean of Students.
