Abstract
Comments by Hattula Moholy-Nagy in 2007 regarding these recordings describes them as being "of considerable importance and interest to scholars of the Institute of Design and Moholy's cinematic works. Numbers 1, 2, and 4 were used in teaching. Moholy's integration of 'new' literature into the ID curriculum is set forth in Vision in Motion, pp. 292-357. Number 3 is especially informative, because it proves that Moholy showed his most famous film, Ein Lichtspiel schwarz weiss grau, with musical accompaniment. So even in their present condition, these records are quite meaningful." A related collection, 008.05.07 Allen Porter recording, 1947, depicts group poetry by Institute of Design students.
