Biographical Note

Venus, a 14-foot bronze sculpture weighing 2400 pounds created by Jim Dine, was shown at Illinois Institute of Technology in 1990 -1991. The sculpture is reminiscent of Da Vinci's Venus, but without head or arms. Dine's Venus was loaded on a flatbed trailer and moved to various locations on campus From October, 1990 to May, 1991.
