Scope and Contents
The Building Reference Files collection consists of a mix of primary and secondary source material relating to the buildings and campuses of the Illinois Institute of Technology and its predecessor institutions. The bulk of the collection consists of real estate materials and IRS filings. Real estate materials concern mortgages held as investments by Armour and Lewis Institutes and Lewis campus properties with values and maintenance expenses, ca 1938.
