This collection includes Master degree academic regalia used by Edward V. Mochel at his 1957 commencement from Illinois Institute of Technology (M.S. in Engineering). The set includes a robe, hood, and mortarboard.

Description of the Collection

A poster (10.25 x 17") depicting an image related to research work done by Illinois Institute of Technology professors Hassan Nagib and Andrew Fejer in fluid mechanics. Their work was rendered artistically by Anita Douthat and titled "Vortices in the Wake of a Row of Rectangular Rods." Illinois Institute of Technology alumnus Edward V. Mochel later used the poster image as inspiration for an oil painting.

Description of the Collection This collection includes slides and photographs of campus buildings taken by Edward Mochel and an autobiographical chapter covering his years at Illinois Institute of Technology. The collection includes twenty-six color (Kodachrome) 35mm slides dated 1957. The slides depict various academic and residence buildings on IIT's campus, including Main Building and Machinery Hall, Crown Hall, Carr Chapel, and Association of American Railroads, and Armour Research Foundation structures.
