Description of the Collection The collection consists of two unrelated audio recordings and two documents as follows: 1) A recording of the Mies Memorial program held in S. R. Crown Hall on Oct. 25, 1969 following the death of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe on Aug. 16, 1969. The recording includes solo cello performances by Janos Starker and remarks by James Johnson Sweeney.
