This collection is comprised of materials related to McCormick Tribune Campus Center. The items are primarily related to space use and opening events. It includes floor-plan drawings (2000-2003), Hermann Union Building (also known as Hermann Hall) (1994), and Commons building (2002), all on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology.

Materials resulting from promotion and publicity of the McCormick Tribune Campus Center and State Street Village opening events. Includes materials produced and distributed by Illinois Institute of Technology as internal and mass mailing from project development and construction stages through opening events. Print media coverage and architectural reviews are included. Box 1 consists of manuscript material, box 2 of oversize materials, and box 3 of miscellaneous unprocessed material.

Noise Mitigation and the CTA Green Line: Catalyst for Campus and Community Transformation; Proposal for Funding Support, a document created by Illinois Institute of Technology to solicit governmental and private support for the structure which came to be identified as the Exelon Tube above the McCormick Tribune Campus Center on the campus of IIT, November 1998.

Looseleaf binder identified only as McCormick Tribune Campus Center (with image of model on cover). Per donor, the piece was produced for a Trustees' Facility Committee meeting, ca. Oct. 2000 - Aug. 2001. Shows the building's "allocated budget" vs. "current construction estimate." Six section detail the cost overages and suggest possible design changes for cost reduction. Includes numerous floor plan drawings and color photos of the building model.

Four items produced to commemorate the opening of the McCormick Tribune Campus Center:

1) Baseball cap in scarlet and gray reading "Illinois Institute of Technology" in white lettering

2) Clear cube paperweight with school logo and name

3) Multisided geometric cube with black and white images of the McCormick Tribune Campus Center (construction photos by John Stamets, 2003)

4) White plastic bag with school name and logo in red

An oversize portfolio of clippings and tearsheets from newspapers and magazines related to the Rem Koolhaas-designed building on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago). Paul Terzino, who assembled the materials, served as the building's manager (Director of Campus and Conference Centers) from its opening in 2003 until Feb. 2006.
