Howard Dearstyne papers, 1937-1971
Files created by Howard Dearstyne concerning his professional activities and fellow architects. The collection bulks with correspondence. Journal articles and tear sheets, particularly by or about Barry Byrne are also included, as is a photograph by John Gass of a house designed by Byrne. Of particular note is Dearstyne's correspondence with (Jace) Jacques Brownson, Barry Byrne (1937-1963) and others. Sally A. Chappell's name appears frequently in Byrne materials.
Mies van der Rohe bibliography, 1930-1979
Annotated bibliography of articles and books containing references to Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, perhaps created by David Spaeth as research for one of his books concerning Mies. The format is two decks of typed index cards, one deck arranged by date (1930-1979) and the other alphabetical by author, presumably covering the same dates. The bibliography includes references to foreign language publications, but annotations are in English.

Two items related to the memorial service held in Crown Hall at Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago) for architect Myron Goldsmith, Oct. 19, 1996: the printed program includes a short biography; a 30-page "in memoriam" type booklet, edited by David C. Sharpe, includes numerous tributes to Goldsmith by friends and colleagues. The booklet also includes the text of obituaries published by various media sources.
