John T. Rettaliata papers,1954-1973
Mostly typescripts of speeches by John T. Rettaliata during his presidency at Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago), on campus and external. Small amount of biographical materials - cirriculum vita, press releases, news clippings, etc. including 1947 press release concerning civilian service to U. S. Navy during WWII. Also, his handling of students protests campus sit-in following the Kent State shootings, Rettaliata's 20th anniversary as president and his resignation. One headshot photo. requently appearing names include Max Jakob, Arthur Keating, Ambassador James S. Kemper (of Kemper Foundation), Henry T. Heald. Also, Rettaliata's inauguration; an interview/vision statement draft; student loan funds; the traveling exhibit "50 Years Bauhaus" hosted at IIT (1956); publication of pamphlet "Voluntary or Involuntary Support of Higher Education" (1955) authored by JTR.
