Gene Summers papers, 1990-2001
Papers from Gene R. Summers, Dean of College of Architecture. The materials are mostly photocopies. The collection includes correspondence to Lew Collens, president of IIT, regarding a living architecture museum at IIT. Also included, are excerpts from "A History of Armour Institute" by James Clinton Peebles (1890) regarding the architecture curriculum, and writings on Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and the architecture department. The collection includes a handwritten draft of this correspondence and other handwritten notes. Also included is a photocopied registration packet for College of Architecture dated 1990, which contains a course schedule and catalog.
The collection also includes branded IIT artifacts circa 2001, including an ice scraper, a cube with photographs of campus, and a slinky.
