Edward D. Porges papers, 1917-1967
Papers of Edward D. Porges, an Armour Institute of Technology graduate of the class of 1917 (B.S., E.E.), consisting of the following items: 1) A letter dated April 13, 1917, from E.H. Freeman, AIT professor of Electrical Engineering, "to whom it may concern," stating that Porges "is an excellent student and we believe that he would provide an able and dependable man in Government service." 2) A brochure titled "Illinois Institute of Technology Class of 1917, 35th Reunion, Friday, May 9, 1952." It includes photographs from the 1917 era, alongside a program for the day of the reunion. 3) A copy of the Technometer from February 1958, which includes a note about Porges' impending retirement in its "Class Notes" section 4) A certificate (printed on gold card stock) from the IIT Alumni Association, honoring Porges for 50 years of support for IIT.

Materials mailed by Gail Porges Guggenheim, daughter of Edward D. Porges, to IIT University Archivist Catherine Bruck, under cover letter dated February 24, 2014. In the letter she lists the contents of the donation and states that her father died in 1988.
