Biographical / Historical
50 Years Bauhaus was a 1969 international event commemorated by the West German Government. The event marked the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus in 1919 by Walter Gropius in Weimar, Germany. Illinois Institute of Technology hosted the traveling exhibit in Crown Hall as the exhibit's U. S. premier venue. Events and speakers were scheduled during the exhibit.
