Biographical Note

Coaster was made as a promotional item to celebrate "Project Cork" - the laying of a new cork floor covering in the upper level or the Library during the summer of 2003. Labyrinth ribbons are designed by Laura Foster Nicholson (spouse of former IIT faculty member Ben Nicholson) and produced by her textile design studio LFNTextiles. Both items were distributed as souvenirs at the Library's annual open house on Sept. 24, 2003.
