Biographical / Historical
The Frontier was a 12-page periodical (later issues were larger) publication of the Research Foundation of Armour Institute (later the Armour Research Foundation of Illinois Institute of Technology). Per volume 1, number 1, page 2 "The Frontier...will recount the progress of...the line dividing the wilderness from civilization, the known from the unknown... -the advances it has made in the past - the directions it may take in the future. Coming to you bi-monthly [later, quarterly] from the Research Foundation of Armour Institute of Technology, it will bring scientific news of today and tomorrow."
