Biographical Note
Rollin Dix, Professor Emeritus in the department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, received his masters and doctorate at Purdue University in 1962 and 1963 respectively. With a specialty in mechanical engineering, Dix has been in the world of academia for forty years. He began teaching at IIT in 1980, and has been a major contributor to the field of mechanical engineering, publishing numerous articles and raising grants for IIT research projects.
