Blueprints by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe of the (unbuilt) Library and Administration Building designed for Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago). Five pages; 36" x 48"; 1/8"=1' scale. Also included is the original mailing envelope (postmark illegible) with label from Mies van der Rohe's Wabash Ave. office in Chicago, Ill.; package was addressed to William H. Hyde, Jr. (IIT librarian). The five blueprint pages show: 1) North, south, east, and west elevations. 2) Ground level floor plan showing offices, garden court, and book stacks. 3) Mezzanine floor plan with president's suite and reserve book room. 4) Interior elevations - fronts and backs of administration and library facades, mezzanine, court, and book stack entrances. 5) Three cut-away facades.
