Available for Research
In 1986 Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago) hosted a celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Events included lectures and an exhibit and catalogue entitled "Mies van der Rohe: Architect as Educator".
These materials were collected and held by David C. Sharpe (an alumnus and faculty member of IIT College of Architecture) from 1986 until being transferred to IIT Archives in 2007 at the suggestion of Dudley Fisher who used some items in the collection in connection with activities conducted by IIT's Mies Society (of which Fisher was a staff member). Sharpe served on the committee which organized the Mies Centennial events.
