Institute of Design student work by Alvin Loginsky. Louis Sullivan documentary project photographs are present, as well as interior and exterior photographs of substandard housing units, probably on Chicago's near South Side. Includes one image of Aaron Siskind, and three from Chicago's Ukrainian Village.

Description of the Collection This collection includes a slide program consisting of 58 slides and accompanying text. The program is entitled The Development of Illinois Institute of Technology Since its Formation in 1940 by L. R. Wilcox. The program was produced in 1977 and revised in 1988. The slide images date ca. 1938-1977. It primarily concerns buildings and locations on campus, lesser information on Professor S. I. Hayakawa's preservation effort for the Grand Theater and jazz lectures, and faculty development under...

Description of the Collection

127 boxes of photographs of Illinois Institute of Technology campus, events, and people. Most photos are presumed to be taken by Communication and Marketing Office for various campus publications. Subjects and photographers are sometimes identified. The photos are in various formats: prints, negatives, and contact sheets, and some slides and transparencies. Most images are in black and white and most date from 1980 and before.
