Wall signage letters (31 letters and 1 directional arrow) of cut aluminum used in the Crerar/Kemper Library ca. 1962 - 1985. Unknown what the letters originally spelled. 15/16" high. Artifact.
Correspondence file concerning a collection of materials relating to the Society of Typographic Arts which was previously housed in the Crerar/Kemper Library. The collection was transferred to Chicago Historical Society per the correspondence dated 1977.
"Library Accessions", being 24 bound volumes with the original hand-written register of books and serials purchased for the Armour Institute of Technology, and subsequently, for the Illinois Institute of Technology library collections. Dates: 1893-1963.
Collection concerns books, manuscripts, and/or documents identified as stolen and/or missing from the collections of the Kemper Library/Paul V. Galvin Library (including the Gunsaulus Rare Book collection) and the John J. Crerar Library.
