News releases by Illinois Institute of Technology sent to local media announcing events, programs, and activities of the university. Presumed to be a complete run for the years 1940 (founding of IIT) to 1999, except for missing volumes as noted here. No press releases have been found for the months of: January - March 1956 January - March 1957 July - December 1962 July - December 1968 Oct. 1991 - Dec. 1995.

Description of the Collection IIT serial publication titled Selected Media Coverage being a booklet of "selected new clippings and broadcast transcripts" from (primarily) news media sources which reference Illinois Institute of Technology or persons associated with the university. The publication generally features images of the complete articles as they appeared in print media and typed transcripts of broadcast programs. Abstract

"News Clips" was published on a regular basis by the IIT Office of Public Relations (currently [2001] the Office of Communications and Marketing). A similar publication under the title "Selected Media Coverage" preceded it.
