Centennial collection, 1990-1991
The collection includes photocopies of "Centennial Preview" articles related to IIT's history, and a pamphlet with highlights of events held for the celebration. "Converging Visions: The Making of a University," a publication outlining the history of IIT. The collection also includes a 1991 Directory of Overseers, a 1990 program for Centennial Convocation and Inauguration, and a flyer for "The IIT 100" model vehicle race. It also includes an invitation and program for the Centennial Jazz Celebration featuring Joe Williams, the Woody Herman Orchestra directed by Frank Tiberi. The collection also includes the centennial reunion week schedule and information, and mailing material for the centennial conference "Science, Technology and the Allocation of Global Resources," with envelop, program, reservation, and prepaid reply envelope.

The Illinois Institute of Technology's centennial celebration was held from May 1990 - May 1991 with a series of events and activities. The date commemorated is the reported date of the "Million Dollar Sermon," which led to the creation of Armour Institute in 1890.
