This collection includes a typed transcript of a September, 2004 interview with George Edson Danforth by three members of the Illinois Institute of Technology staff, Matt Cook, Director of Graham Resource Center, Lorna Shawver and Beth Wittbrodt, from the Illinois Institute of Technology Office of Institutional Advancement. In the interview, Danforth recalls his time as a student under Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and reflects on his career.

Biographical Note

George Edson Danforth (1916-2007) received a BS-Architecture in 1940. He studied under Ludwig Mies van der Rohe at Illinois Institute of Technology. Danforth later served as Dean of the architecture program from 1959-1975.
