Biographical Note

Johannes Molzahn, a Bauhaus-influenced typographer, emigrated to the U.S. in 1938 and taught at The New Bauhaus (later, the School of Design) in Chicago. Molzahn became head of the light workshop at Institute of Design circa 1943.
