This plat map of Block 4 in Ashland's 2nd Addition is bounded by Winchester, Monroe, Robey, and Madison Streets. The map is marked "Shaded portion indicates proposed structure," and it is stamped: "Building Dept. City of Chicago Approved May [illeg.]." The proposed structure is probably the Engineering Building, built in 1903.
