Abstract

The student handbook is one of several serial publications published annually by IIT for various constituents of the campus community. These serial publications can serve as authoritative sources of factual information and institutional history.

Description of the Collection The Hour Glass was a 4-page newspaper "published by the [Illinois Institute of Technology] Union Board every other Wednesday." Apparently a short-lived periodical listing activities and events, usually of a recreational nature, sponsored by the Union Board, a campus student group. Description of the Collection Items created or collected by W. Ronald (Ron) Johnson covering his years as a student at Illinois Institute of Technology. Includes 36 2" x 2" photographs, including 29 taken at the Ansul Chemical Company in Marietta, Wisconsin in 1955, documenting a class held for the senior class of the Fire Protection Engineering program.
