127 boxes of photographs of Illinois Institute of Technology campus, events, and people. Most photos are presumed to be taken by Communication and Marketing Office for various campus publications. Subjects and photographers are sometimes identified. The photos are in various formats: prints, negatives, and contact sheets, and some slides and transparencies. Most images are in black and white and most date from 1980 and before.
This collection consists of a 20 page typed manuscript by David Spaeth, "Ludwig Hilberseimer's Settlement Unity: Origins and Applications." Spaeth is identified in the manuscript as "Visiting Professor, Department of Architecture, University of Florida." (2 copies)
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was Director of the Department of Architecture at Armour Institute of Technology and Illinois Institute of Technology, 1938 - 1958. A series of events was hosted at IIT during the centennial year 1986 which marked the 100th anniversary of his birth. These Mies van der Rohe Centennial records represent materials created as part of the campus celebration events.
This collection contains the research material, folders of materials on Ludwig Mies van der Rohe collected on behalf of the Mies Society.
