Gilbert Force correspondence, 1943-1948
This collection consists of correspondence by Gilbert A. Force, Illinois Institute of Technology Business Manager, concerning the financial and accounting matters under the responsibility of the business office during post-World War II campus "rehabilitation" period, circa 1943-1947. The correspondence is with Harvey E. Anderson, Business Manager, Walter J. Parduhn, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, and R. J. Spaeth, Treasurer.
The collection includes materials related to buildings and buildings maintenance, statistics related to enrollment and staff, inventories of furniture, office equipment, and bookstore supplies, shipping and work orders, and schedules. Also included are department organization charts.
The correspondence includes financial material related to Armour Research Foundation's frozen credits on international accounts, Ozalid services, schedule of insurance premiums, salaries and wages, Nancy Sanders Architectural Library Fund, and real estate. It also includes records related to buildings and institutions such as the Cudahy House, Korn building, and George Williams College.
