Office of External Affairs presentations, 1998-2005
This collection consists of oversize presentation boards with images (concept designs, architects' drawings, blueprints) of various physical and architectural development projects on the campus of Illinois Institute of Technology and surrounding Bronzeville area redevelopment executed as part of the university's long-range plans begun ca. 1998. Projects documented include the following: Mies Campus (reproductions of historic images), 1941 and later; "Reurbanization", 1998; Main Campus Master Plan/2010 Plan Lohan Master Plan by Lohan Associates; 2001 Peter Lindsay Schaudt Landscape Master Plan for campus and for field north of Crown Hall, 1998-1999; McCormick Tribune Campus Center, including poster with quote about Rem Koolhaas be New York Times, ca. 1998-2003; The Exelon Tube, 1999; Chicago Police Headquarters Administration Building (Michigan & 35th Sts.), ca. 1998-2000; Digital Media Center in Wishnick Hall, 1999; IITRI Research & Development Complex, also known as Biomedical R & D complex, including Engineering Research Building, Chemistry Research Building, and Life Science Research Building (LRB); 2002 University Technology Park at IIT; Townsend Capital, LLC and Cannon Design; 2005 Stateway Gardens (later Park Boulevard residential community) area, ca. 2004.
