Liverpool Ware bowl, 1790
Porcelain bowl manufactured by Liverpool Ware bearing American images along with a portrait of Benjamin Franklin. A handwritten label on bottom of the bowl indicates that it is a gift of Mrs. C. L. Cooney of Boston, Mass., given in memory of Dr. Frank M. Gunsaulus, April 9, 1921.

Portraits of Lloyd Hamilton Donnell and Leonard M. Taussig, two men associated with Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering. The Leonard Taussig portrait is a 10 x 13” color photograph. The Lloyd Donnell portrait is an apparent self portrait, acrylic on canvas painting. Both used to hang in the MMAE office.

LLP stands for "Language, Literature and Philosophy," an earlier title of the humanities department at Illinois Institute of Technology, now known as the Lewis Department of Humanities. The account is a personal commentary which recounts and frequently analyses the workings of the department from the mid-1940s to mid-1970s.
