This collection includes drawings, plans, blueprints, and other materials stored in the East Map Case. These materials are not all from the same source, nor are they a coherent collection by any factor other than that they are all stored together. Three 16mm silent reel-to-reel films on 3.5" diameter spools (ca. 5 minutes each), identified as follows: 1) Paper labels on spool: 1972-Color; Campus Buildings 2) Paper label on canister: Anscochrome (color) AND Conway [Conway may identify the filmographer.] 3) On box: Order 54912/ R. Luoma; Campus. Date stamp on box is July 1965 [Note: Ralph Luoma was IIT campus photographer ca. 1963.]
This plat map is color-coded to show construction type (fire resistive, incombustible, brick, frame, concrete) of all buildings, historic and new, bounded by 31st Street, 35th Street, Michigan Avenue and the -New York Central Railroad. 3 copies of the map are included in the collection, 1 with pencil markings showing "buildings wrecked."
