Series 1, Manuscripts Correspondence (4 pages; 3/28/2000) from Bretz with reminiscences of Camp Armour, the Commons building, and Dean Clarence Deakins. Address given by Clarence Deakins, Dean of Students, (4 pages; April 1958) on the occasion of his departure from IIT after 12 years. Concerns the quality of educations at IIT. Series 2, Photographs 185 color slides (35mm) of campus development, building construction, properties razed and campus streetscapes. Also, images of Camp Armour, the university's civil engineering surveying camp in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin.

Biographical Note
Harold Bretz was an Illinois Institute of Technology faculty member, 1957 to 1986 and Associate Dean of the Graduate School, (ca. 1969 - 86). From 1958 - 1963, Bretz acted as Camp Administrator at Camp Armour, IIT's civil engineering camp on Upper Trout Lake, Wisconsin. He lived in campus faculty housing, apartment 701 Cunningham Hall.
