Biographical Note
John P. Makielski attended Illinois Institute of Technology from 1944-1947, receiving a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in Jan. 1947 and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering degree in June 1947. From 1948-1951 he served as an assistant to Dr. John Rettaliata (later IIT President) and as registrar.
