Scope and Contents
The Building Reference Files collection consists of a mix of primary and secondary source material relating to the buildings and campuses of the Illinois Institute of Technology and its predecessor institutions. Abstract
Invitation to the 1957 Integral Ball, an annual formal student dance held at Illinois Institute of Technology in the 1950s. The 1957 ball took place in S. R. Crown Hall, and Duke Ellington and his orchestra provided the music for the dance that year.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was Director of the Department of Architecture at Armour Institute of Technology and Illinois Institute of Technology, 1938 - 1958. A series of events was hosted at IIT during the centennial year 1986 which marked the 100th anniversary of his birth. These Mies van der Rohe Centennial records represent materials created as part of the campus celebration events.
